Murat Zhurebekov appointed vice minister of energy

By the Decree of the Government, Murat Zhurebekov was appointed vice minister of energy, the press service of the prime minister reports.

Murat Zhurebekov was born in 1978 in the Aktobe region. He graduated from Zhubanov Aktobe State University, received a master’s degree in Business Administration at Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Forecasting, a master’s degree in Economics and Management at Strathclyde University, and completed the Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Over the years, he worked at CJSC KazTransGaz, CJSC Intergas Central Asia, Agip KCO in London, JSC NC KazMunayGas, PSA LLP.

In 2017-2019, he became general director of PSA LLP (Authorized body of the Government of Kazakhstan in oil and gas projects under the product sharing agreements).
