Askar Mamin instructs to ensure safety of educational facilities before start of academic year

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, issues of ensuring the safety of educational facilities were considered.

Inspection of schools in Kazakhstan showed the existence of violations of anti-terrorist security. At an insufficient level, work has been organized to provide educational institutions with specialized security, the installation of turnstiles, "panic buttons" and cameras.

The schools of the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan regions are best provided with professional security. In the East Kazakhstan region, all CCTV cameras in schools fully comply with the established requirements.

“Formation of a favorable and safe environment at educational facilities is a priority task. The work on ensuring the security of educational institutions should be significantly intensified. At the local level, it is necessary to strengthen inter-sectoral coordination on the prevention of offenses against children and among children,” Mamin said.

The Head of Government instructed the regional akimats to provide educational organizations with material and technical security means before the start of the new academic year: video surveillance systems with access to the operational control center of the internal affairs bodies, specialized security, turnstiles and "panic buttons".

The Ministry of Education, together with interested government agencies, was instructed until July 10, 2021, to approve the Roadmap for ensuring the safety of children in educational institutions.

The ministries of education, culture, health care, internal affairs were instructed until July 20 of this year. to approve the Instructions on the organization of anti-terrorist protection of departmental facilities vulnerable to terrorism.

The ministries of education, internal affairs, emergency situations and regional akimats were instructed by the end of July of this year. to approve the Algorithm of actions for personnel and students in the event of emergencies, in the future, on a regular basis, to conduct anti-terrorist exercises in educational institutions.

The Prime Minister instructed the akimats to strengthen the coordination of school psychologists and juvenile affairs inspectors in their work with children with deviant behavior.
