Alikhan Smailov holds meeting to address main issues in development of Akmola region

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting on the execution of instructions given following the results of his working trip to Akmola region on May 27, 2022.

Participants of the meeting discussed the ongoing work to transfer the region’s agricultural businesses to modern breeding methods, tighten sanitary requirements for enterprises that slaughter farm animals, and stimulate the supply of raw materials for meat processing enterprises.

In addition, the issues of financing programs for subsidizing agriculture in the region, creating a single digital platform for accounting for agricultural machinery, providing the region with the necessary amount of fuel oil and building a thermal power plant in the city of Kokshetau were considered.

Projects for the reconstruction of sewage treatment and construction of water treatment facilities in Kokshetau, issues of financing projects for the development of water supply to rural settlements, increasing the share of roads in the standard state and localizing the production of agricultural machinery components were also discussed.

At the same time, the participants considered additional measures for training qualified personnel for the agro-industrial complex, options for financing the construction of schools in the region, as well as mechanisms for regulating trade activities and supporting domestic producers of polymer packaging.

Summing up the results of the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that the execution of instructions for the Akmola region and other regions given during working trips must be kept under special control.

“They reflect the practical problematic issues of specific regions and specific residents. They need to be resolved. Therefore, I want to emphasize once again that all the issues raised must be completed,” said Alikhan Smailov.
