Meeting of Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Infection in Kazakhstan was held today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov.
The meeting was attended by representatives of state bodies and the management of regions. On the agenda were questions on the deterioration of the epidemiological situation and the circulation of the Omicron strain.
Minister of Healthcare Azhar Giniyat delivered a report. She noted that the epidemiological situation is deteriorating. Over the past 24 hours alone, more than 4,000 people have been identified with a positive PCR test. Already 4 regions have returned to the red zone.
The Interdepartmental Commission decided to tighten sanitary and quarantine measures to contain the spread of infection. In particular:

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed the akimats to increase the pace of vaccination and revaccination of citizens, to pay special attention to monitoring compliance with the measures taken by the Government.
