Serik Zhumangarin visits Almaty on a working visit

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin visited plants for the production of socially important food products as part of a working visit to Almaty region.

Thus, among the objects of the visit was the Eurasian Foods Corporation plant. The company is one of the largest and most important in the food industry of Kazakhstan and Central Asia. It employs over 3 thousand people.

During his visit to the plant Serik Zhumangarin got acquainted with the process of vegetable oil production, which is fully automated and allows producing more than 150,000 tons of oil per year.

Also, during the working visit, Deputy Prime Minister met with entrepreneurs and residents of the city. The vast majority of questions related to assistance in promoting exports, lack of awareness of government support measures for exporters, and the long procedure for reimbursement of transportation costs. Serik Zhumangarin gave appropriate instructions to the Center for QazTrade Trade Policy Development under the Ministry of Trade and Integration on these issues.

"There are several mechanisms to support exporters. Some of them are provided through the QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center. We will strengthen the explanatory work and accelerate the procedure for reimbursement of exporters for promotion and transport costs," said Zhumangarin.

During the personal reception of citizens the questions of market modernization, assistance to the suffered business and others were raised.

In addition, the Minister of Trade and Integration participated in a press conference with the media in Almaty and answered relevant questions.
