Serikkali Brekeshev was born on Oct. 14, 1972, in Pavlodar.
In 1995 he graduated from the Atyrau Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Oil and Gas Field Development.
In 1995-1997, he worked as an economist, deputy general director of the Kazakh-Russian Trade House JV.
In 1997, he was an inspector of the operational department of the Tax Department in Aktau.
In 1997-1998, he was an engineer of the department of transport of special equipment and spare parts, then an engineer of the 8th category at the pipes and metal products branch of the Department for Material and Technical Support and Sales at Munaigermes, JSC Mangistaumunaigas.
In 1998-2006, he was Operations Engineer, Oil Field Foreman, Field Manager of CJSC Karakudukmunai.
In 2007-2014, he worked in senior positions in the ministries of energy and mineral resources, oil and gas.
Since 2015, he worked in KazTransGas JSC, he was Director of the Technical Policy Department, Managing Director for GTS Management, Managing Director for Technical Policy, Director of the Production and Technical Department, Deputy General Director for Technical Policy.
From March 2020 to September 2021, he was Vice Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On Sep. 10, 2021, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was appointed Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
