Nurlan Nogayev
He was born in 1967. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry named after Gubkin, Kazakh State Academy of Management, Moscow State University of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
He began his career as an electrician at the Kandagach station in the town of Oktyabrsk in the Aktobe region.
- In 1993-1995, he was senior expert in petroleum products, head of department, general director of Gili-Pasker LLP, Moscow.
- In 1995-1996, he was deputy general director of the small enterprise Otrar Ltd, Almaty.
- In 1996-2006, he was an engineer, head of department, general director of Kazakhturkmunai LLP.
- From February to August 2006, he was executive director of JSC National Company KazMunayGas.
- Since August 2006, he worked as the director of the Oil Industry Department of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- From September 2007, he was deputy akim of the West Kazakhstan Region.
- From April 2010, he was first deputy akim of the region.
- On Jan. 20, 2012, by the Decree of the Head of State, he was appointed akim of the West Kazakhstan region.
- In 2010, he was awarded the Qurmet Order.
- In 2016-2019, he was akim of Atyrau region.
- Since Dec. 18, 2019, he has been the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
