Serik Zharasbayev appointed Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports

By the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zharasbayev Serik Maratovich was appointed Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports. This is reported by the press service of the Government.

Serik Zharasbayev was born in 1984 in North-Kazakhstan region.

He graduated from the North-Kazakhstan State University named after Kozybayev, Russian International Olympic University.

In different years worked as a coach-teacher on boxing, instructor of Children's and Youth Sports School of Petropavlovsk, chief specialist, head of department of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of North Kazakhstan region.

From 2011 to 2012, he was an expert, chief expert of the department of scientific and methodological support, innovative technology and education of the Sports Committee of the MKS RK. 

From 2012 to 2014, he was Head of Department, Director of the Department of High Performance Sports and Sports Reserve of the Department of the Republic of Kazakhstan Agency for Sports and Physical Culture. 

From 2014 to 2018, he was Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2018 to 2019, he was Chairman of the Committee on Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2019 to 2021, he was Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

In 2021, he was First Deputy President of the Regional Public Organization "Kazakhstan Curling, Floor Curling and Petang Federation".

From 2021-2023 - Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2023 to the present time, he was Director of the State Enterprise of the Olympic Training Center "Almaty".
