Sungat Yessimkhanov appointed Chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy

By Decree of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yessimkhanov Sungat was appointed Chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Sungat Yessimkhanov was born in 1973 in Pavlodar region.

He graduated from the Pavlodar State University and the Bolashak Karaganda Institute of Actual Education.

He began his career in 1996 as an engineer in the hydrometallurgical shop of Aluminium of Kazakhstan JSC.

In 2001-2007, he worked in the structure of the Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Protection of Competition.

In 2008-2010, he headed the Department of Energy and Housing and Utilities of Pavlodar Region.

From 2010 to 2013, he was President of Kazakhenergoekspertiza JSC. 

In 2013-2014, he was Director of the Department of Electricity and Coal Industry of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2014 to 2018, he worked as Chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2018-2020, he was Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2020-2021, he was First Deputy Akim of Pavlodar region.

Since May 2021, he was the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Energy JSC.
