Alikhan Smailov holds meeting of Commission on Demonopolization of Economy

Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov chaired a regular meeting of the Commission for Demonopolization of the Country's Economy.

Within the framework of the meeting, proposals developed by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the abolition of tax incentives for private oil refineries (refineries) that produce products that do not comply with the technical regulations of the Customs Union, issues of ensuring access for business entities to infrastructure facilities (“last kilometer”) at refineries, regulation of the storage of petroleum products on them, as well as regulation of tariffs for the services of loading and transportation of petroleum products in terms of their reduction.

In addition, issues of auditing security systems, monitoring production, storage, export of products and other technological processes at refineries, as well as the construction and operation of liquefied petroleum gas storage parks on their territory were considered.

The meeting participants also considered some issues related to the activities of JSC NC KazMunayGas, JSC National Information Technologies and others.

Following the discussions, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan gave a number of working instructions for decision-making at the next meeting of the Commission.
