Government considers readiness of regions for heating season

At the online government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the preparation of the regions for the upcoming autumn-winter period was considered.

Minister of Energy Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov, Akim of Atyrau Region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, Akim of Karaganda Region Zhenis Kassymbek, Akim of Pavlodar Region Abylkair Skakov reported on the work carried out to prepare for the heating season.

The regions prepared over 10 thousand autonomous boiler houses or 99%, more than 45.6 thousand residential buildings (94%). 3.8 thousand km of heating networks (96%), 13.6 thousand km of water supply networks (99%) have been repaired. More than 11.1 thousand (99%) educational facilities and more than 5.7 thousand (99%) healthcare facilities have been prepared for the heating season. Coal mining companies produced 68 million tons of coal.

Consumer debt for utilities is 14.4 billion tenge. The largest accounts receivable remain in Almaty — 2.88 billion tenge, Nur-Sultan — 2.56 billion tenge, Shymkent — 2.47 billion tenge and Kyzylorda region — 1.55 billion tenge.

“Akimats of the regions carried out work on preparation for the heating season of housing and communal services, education, social sphere and heat and power sources. It is planned to start connecting heating in the regions according to the plan,” Mamin said.

The Head of Government instructed the akimats to complete all planned repair work on engineering networks, educational facilities, health care and residential buildings in a timely manner, to ensure the receipt of passports of readiness for the heating season as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister instructed to provide all autonomous heat sources with a standard fuel supply, actively interact with coal suppliers in the regions in order to eliminate coal shortages, and monitor fuel supplies for public utilities and the population on an ongoing basis.
