Industry, construction, employment: Results of Zhambul region’s development for 2020

The main indicators reflecting the socio-economic stability of the Zhambyl region, of course, are provided by the leading economic sectors — industry, trade, agriculture. At the same time, despite the pandemic, other sectors of the economy did not slow down the pace of development for most indicators in 2020. This was also stated by the Prime Minister Askar Mamin in his speech during the expanded Government session with the participation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Jan. 26, 2021. The Head of Government also named Zhambyl region among the leaders in terms of housing commissioning rates. Read the review about the main results of the socio-economic development of the region for 2020 and the plans for the current year.

At the end of 2020, the region retained its growth dynamics in all major economic indicators.

The gross regional product of the Zhambyl region at the end of 9 months of 2020 amounted to 1,205 billion tenge, the physical volume index was 103.4%. At the end of 2020, economic growth amounted to 102.2%.

There is a positive trend in the spheres of industry, trade, transport, investment, construction, and housing. Own incomes exceeded the national average. The volume of industrial production increased by 3.1% (504.9 billion tenge), agriculture — by 5.1% (381.9 billion tenge), construction — by 28.2% (186.4 billion tenge), introduced in operation of housing — by 21.7% (617.5 thousand m2), communication services — by 3.1% (7.3 billion tenge). Fixed capital investments increased by 12.7% (344.1 billion tenge).

The inflation rate in 2020 was 7.3%. Prices for food products increased by 11.2%, non-food products — by 5.6%. The inflation rate in the region is lower than the national average by 0.2% (Kazakhstan — 7.5%). The unemployment rate is 4.9% (Kazakhstan — 5%).

Own revenues increased by 8.9% (RK - 108.4%), budget utilization was 100%.

Recovery of economic activity: Volume of products and services of entrepreneurs in 2020 increased by 1.2 times and amounted to 467.4 billion tenge

In the difficult conditions of the pandemic, it is important, first of all, to provide timely social support to the population, to support people left without wages.

Small and medium-sized businesses found themselves in the most difficult situation. About 70 thousand small and medium-sized businesses operate in the region, employing 126.5 thousand people (January-September). But despite the negative impact of the pandemic, as a result of state support, the volume of products and services of entrepreneurs increased by 1.2 times and amounted to 467.4 billion tenge.

On behalf of the Head of State, small and medium-sized businesses received state support and allocated 11 billion tenge. 1.1 billion tenge was allocated to subsidize the interest rate on loans to 278 entrepreneurs.

To support entrepreneurship within the framework of the Enbek program for the implementation of new business initiatives, 7.8 thousand people received non-repayable state grants for 4.3 billion tenge, 1.3 thousand entrepreneurs received microcredits for 5.4 billion tenge.

As part of anti-crisis measures, 14.1 thousand business entities received tax incentives for 2 billion tenge, 740 entities received loans in the amount of 3.9 billion tenge.

2 wholesale distribution centers were opened to contain prices for socially important food products.

During the pandemic, as well as throughout the country, many residents of the region received social assistance. In the region, 185 thousand people received social payments for the period of the state of emergency in the amount of 11.9 billion tenge.

In industrial sector of Zhambyl region, growth rate at the end of 2020 was 103.1%

In the industrial sector, at the end of 2020, the enterprises of the Zhambyl region produced products for 504.8 billion tenge, the growth rate was 103.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2019.

The volume of manufacturing output amounted to 370.5 billion tenge, or 102.7% compared to the corresponding period of last year. The specific weight of the manufacturing industry in the region's industry is 73.4%. The positive dynamics of development is mainly due to the growth of production in the following manufacturing industries: in the chemical industry (IFO 104.8%), in the metallurgical industry (106.8%), in the production of other non-metallic mineral products (106.4%), in light industry (IFO 185.7%), production of refined products (IFO 102.2%).

Chemical industry enterprises produced products for 175.5 billion tenge, the growth rate was 104.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2019. The share of the industry is 34.8%.

The enterprises of the metallurgical industry produced products for 65 billion tenge, IFO — 106.8% to the level of 2019. The share of the industry is 12.9%.

The volume of light industry production amounted to 3.6 billion tenge, or 185.7% compared to the same period in 2019, the share of the is 0.7%.

The production of refined products for the period under review amounted to 12.4 billion tenge, IFO — 102.2%. The share of the industry is 2.5%.

In 2020, agriculture of Zhambyl region attracted investments for 29.5 billion tenge

At the end of 2020, the volume of total agricultural production in the Zhambyl region amounted to 381.9 billion tenge, the volume index was 105.1%, including in crop production — 223.2 billion tenge (IFO — 106.4%), in animal husbandry — 157.7 billion tenge (IFO — 103.2%).

Investments in the industry were attracted for 29.5 billion tenge, an increase compared to 2019 was 113%.

At the end of the 3rd quarter of 2020, compared to the corresponding period of 2019, labor productivity in agriculture increased by 105%, amounting to 891.7 thousand tenge per employee.

The number of cattle in the region over the past year reached 453.2 thousand heads, having increased over the same period of the previous year by 7.1%, the number of sheep and goats — 3,055.5 thousand heads (by 6%), horses — 151.6 thousand heads (by 11.6%), poultry — 1,781.5 thousand heads (by 4.7%).

Meat production in comparison with the corresponding period of last year increased by 4.9% (140 thousand tons), milk production — by 1.7% (326.5 thousand tons, egg production — by 2.1% and amounted to 137,384.

In total, in 2020, commodity producers of the region exported 1,246.5 tons of meat, of which 377.5 tons of beef, 512.6 tons of mutton. 356 tons of poultry meat and 0.5 tons of horse meat were also exported.

11 large feedlots with a capacity of 27 thousand heads. To date, 14,166 heads of bull calves obtained from breed transformation have been transferred to these areas.

For the harvest of 2020, the sown area of ​​farms amounted to 734.9 thousand hectares, (including grain and leguminous crops — 378.8 thousand hectares, oil crops — 56.5 thousand hectares, sugar beet — 4.6 thousand hectares, potatoes — 11.2 thousand hectares, vegetable and melon crops — 54 thousand hectares, fodder crops — 229.7 thousand hectares) compared to 2019 (687.1 thousand hectares) increased by 47.8 thousand hectares (107%). In general, the area increased by 54.6 thousand hectares (108%).

To date, 359.3 thousand hectares of 359.3 thousand hectares of grain crops have been harvested, which is 100%. In total, 816.6 thousand tons of grain were threshed, the average yield was 22.7 centners per hectare.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions in 2020, 4,329.4 hectares of sugar beet were harvested out of 4,594.4 hectares of crops, 264 hectares were culled, only 152.3 thousand tons of crop were obtained, of which 106.4 thousand tons were handed over for processing to sugar factories.

For the harvest in 2021, 161.1 thousand hectares of land were prepared for sowing winter crops, which amounted to 106.6%. Land plowed on 835 hectares of rapeseed (104.4%), 159.1 thousand hectares of winter wheat (105.8%), 369.9 thousand hectares of fallow fields (84.3%), including sugar beet — 4,976 hectares (62.2%).

In order to provide cultivated areas with mineral fertilizers, 1.25 billion tenge was allocated from the budget. This year it is planned to apply 25.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers to agricultural land.

Under the Enbek program, 1,309 applicants were given loans in the amount of 4,939.7 million tenge, the amount was spent by 100%. These loan funds were issued in the following areas: agriculture, purchase of livestock (cattle, small ruminants, horses), opening their own business.

In the current year, residents of 25 settlements from 11 pilot rural districts of 10 districts took part in the project to increase the household income of the population of the Zhambyl region.

In total, in 5 areas of this project, credit funds in the amount of 8,471 million tenge were disbursed, of which 2,489 applications were financed through Taraz SEC JSC at 2.5%, in the amount of 7,200 million tenge, with a plan of 2,459 applications (execution — 101,2%). Through MFO Taraz LLP, 1271 million tenge were allocated for working capital of agricultural cooperatives and agricultural machinery, credit funds were financed by 5%.

As a result, the number of recipients of targeted social assistance in villages decreased by 490 people (from 1,539 to 1,049 people), unproductively self-employed people — by 640 people (from 1.846 to 1,206), 2,238 people were registered as individual entrepreneurs and unemployed.

Since the implementation of Economy of Simple Things program, 203 projects worth 75.5 billion tenge launched

As of Jan. 1, 2021, 154 projects were approved for 73.6 billion tenge, including 143 projects were financed in the amount of 49.5 billion tenge.

For 203 projects that are being worked on, the distribution of industries is as follows:

  • production in the agro-industrial complex — 147 projects worth 9.2 billion tenge;
  • processing industry in the agro-industrial complex — 3 projects worth 1.1 billion tenge;
  • spring field work — 17 projects worth 302.4 million tenge;
  • manufacturing industry — 11 projects worth 63.4 billion tenge;
  • provision of services — 15 projects worth 1.5 billion tenge.

For 2020, the volume of investments in fixed assets of the region amounted to 344.1 billion tenge, an increase of 12.7% over the same period last year. In the industrial sector — 115.6 billion tenge, in education — 21.5 billion tenge, in the agricultural sector — 29.5 billion tenge.

Since the implementation of Business Roadmap-2025 program, 2,157 projects launched

For all financial support instruments for January-September 2020, the output of products amounted to 467.4 billion tenge or 122.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2019.

The number of people employed in SMEs was 126,459 people, 40,474 — legal entities, 61,405 — individual entrepreneurs, 24,580 — peasants and farms.

Today, financial support for small and medium-sized businesses in the region is provided within the framework of the state program Business Road Map-2025 (interest rate subsidies; guarantees for bank loans; development of production (industrial) infrastructure; grant financing).

In 2020, within the framework of the Business Road Map-2025 program, entrepreneurs of the region were provided with state financial support in the amount of 1.7 billion tenge.

- subsidizing the interest rate — 1.1 billion tenge;

- guaranteeing for bank loans — 428.6 million tenge;

- grant funding — 171 million tenge.

Since the implementation of the program, 2157 projects have been implemented for all financial support instruments (2010-2020), totaling 119.3 billion tenge.

Special attention paid to implementation of programs Nurly Zher, 7-20-25, Baspana, rental housing for young people

Special attention in the past year was paid to the implementation of programs to provide affordable housing. At the end of the year, the region achieved high indicators in this direction. In total, 1206 people were provided with housing in 2020, including:

  • mothers with many children, awarded with pendants Altyn alka, Kumis alka, large families — 269 people;
  • socially vulnerable groups — 445 people;
  • orphans — 189 people;
  • employees of budgetary institutions — 303 people.

Under the program 7-20-25, 576 citizens received loans

According to the JSC Stability Fund of Kazakhstan in 2020, out of 966 applications received by the second-tier banks of the Zhambyl region, 620 people received support and 576 citizens received loans in the amount of 4,042,655,574 tg.

Asar tradition revived in Zhambyl region

A good initiative was the implementation of the project "Construction of houses according to the Asar tradition" at the initiative of the regional akim Berdibek Saparbayev.

The goal of the project is to build houses for citizens in need. Within the framework of the project in the region, it is planned to issue keys from 123 houses. To date, more than 100 houses have been commissioned. The rest will be completed shortly.

In 2020, in Zhambyl region, within the framework of Nurly Zhol program, 20 projects for repair of local roads implemented

The State Program for Infrastructure Development Nurly Zhol for 2020-2025 in the road industry provides for 1 target indicator “The share of regional and district roads in good and a satisfactory condition.’’ The indicator provides for the achievement of the republican indicator in 2020 — 71%, in 2021 — 75%, in 2022 — 80%, in 2023 — 85%, in 2024 — 90%, in 2025 — 95%.

In general, in 2020, within the framework of the program, 20 projects were implemented to repair local roads at 243.9 km (1 project rolling over to 2021).

For these purposes, 7.5 billion tenge was allocated, including 3.7 billion tenge from the republican budget, 3.8 billion tenge from the regional budget and fully utilized.

At the expense of these funds, construction work was completed — 7.4 km of roads, 3.2 km — reconstruction and 233.3 km — medium repair.

Including: 165.6 km (12 objects) — regional highways (7.4 km — construction; 3.2 km — reconstruction; 155 km — medium repair); 78.3 km (8 objects) — regional highways (medium repair).

As a result of the work carried out, in 2020 the indicator indicator "The share of regional and district roads in good and satisfactory condition" was brought up from 85% to 90%, the target was fulfilled at the end of the year.

In 2021, within the framework of the Nurly Zhol program, 2.3 billion tenge was allocated for the implementation of 5 projects, including: from the republican budget — 1.1 billion tenge, from the regional budget — 1.2 billion tenge.

The funds will be used to build 4.6 km of new roads and carry out an average repair of 70 km.

However, this is not enough to achieve the planned value (95%) in 2021, agreed within the framework of the program with the Committee for Roads of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.

In this regard, for the implementation of 31 projects submitted for clarification of the republican budget for 2021, it is necessary to additionally allocate 4,039.6 million tenge from the republican budget.

In the region, 77,424 people covered by active employment measures

In the region, 77,424 people were covered by active employment measures, of which 57,381 people — under the Enbek program, according to the Employment Roadmap — 20,043. In the first direction of the program, 1,566 people completed short-term training, of which 1,546 are employed, 19 have received grants. As a result of the measures taken, the unemployment rate in the 3rd quarter of 2020 amounted to 4.9%.

For implementation of Employment Roadmap in 2020, 64.2 billion tenge allocated for 809 projects

As a result of the implementation of this program, 20,043 jobs were created in the region (plan — 19,615), of which through employment centers — 10,056 (plan — 9,850). In addition, after the completion of the projects, it was planned to create 1,119 permanent jobs, of which 430 were created at the end of the year, the rest of the jobs will be created during 2021.

In the context of areas: social and cultural facilities — 184 projects worth 13.4 billion tenge, housing and utilities — 175 projects worth 28.8 billion tenge, engineering and transport infrastructure — 328 projects worth 17.7 billion tenge , for the improvement of settlements — 122 projects worth 3.9 billion tenge.

Within the framework of the state program Digital Kazakhstan in 2020, out of planned 39 projects, 14 implemented

In the framework of the state program Digital Kazakhstan in 2020, out of the planned 39 projects in the region, 14 projects were implemented in the amount of 1.9 billion tenge at the expense of the IB, the remaining 25 projects are in progress with the transition of execution to the current year.

In the field of education, taking into account the current situation in Kazakhstan during the pandemic, 31,315 computers were purchased for distance learning in the amount of 5 billion tenge (from local budget — 928.4 million tenge, from the Republican budget — 4,086.3 billion tenge). Today, all 442 schools in the region are equipped with computers used in the educational process (10,908 — for teachers, 20,050 — for students).

For ensuring security, work is being carried out on the "Installation of video cameras with integration into the central control center in all regions. At the moment, they have been installed and integrated into the UCC in 2 districts: Korday and Shu. 124 million tenge were allocated from the MB for 86 units. camcorders. It is also planned to cover the remaining 8 regions by the end of this year.

In the field of transport, in order to increase the level of transport services for the population, the project E-ticketing by the local company Central Dispatch Service LLP was implemented at the expense of CHI in the amount of 374.8 million tenge.

In the Implementation of the Silk Road in the region today out of 371 rural settlements in the region, 362 are fully provided with the Internet of various frequencies. By the end of this year, appropriate work will be carried out to provide 9 rural settlements that do not have the Internet.

For the convenience of the rural population, since 2018, work has been carried out to open Digital Information Centers. This is an information and reference center designed to expand the scope of electronic information services (through the web portal Electronic government egov.kz), provided to rural residents, increasing the access of various categories of the population to socially significant information and references. To date, 180 Digital Information Centers and 23 coworking centers have been opened in 139 rural districts across the region (2018-2020).

In information centers in villages, through the website cao-zhambyl.kz 19,154 requests were satisfied, through the portal egov.kz 39,997 certificates were issued.

Problem of three-shift schools to be solved in 2021-2022 through construction of 5 new schools

In 2020, 10.1 billion tenge was allocated for the construction of 22 educational facilities in the region. 13 educational facilities were commissioned last year.

In general, this year it is planned to implement 22 educational facilities. Of these, 8 objects are transferred from 2020. This will partially solve the problem of emergency schools, the issue of three-shift training and a shortage of places in schools.

There are 6 three-shift schools in the region. Their problem will be solved in 2021-2022 through the construction of 5 new schools and 1 extension to the school.

In the region, work has also been carried out to provide computer equipment for children studying remotely.

There are 52,695 computers in the schools of the region. Including, in 2020, 26,483 units of computer equipment were purchased from the republican budget, 4,832 units — from the local budget.

Computers were transferred for temporary use to 39,430 students from low-income and large families, orphans, children left without parental care and children with special educational needs.

Today, all students are provided with computer equipment.

Also, more than 20 thousand students from low-income and large families are provided with routers.

Total health budget for 2020 amounted to 97.1 billion tenge

The total health budget for 2020 amounted to 97.1 billion tenge (compulsory health insurance — 26.9 billion tenge, guaranteed volume of medical care - 56.5 billion tenge and through UZO — 13.6 billion tenge). Within the framework of the Employment Roadmap, 943.1 million tenge was allocated for the overhaul of 10 facilities in the amount of 45.4 million tenge, current repairs of 4 objects were carried out.

For 143 million tenge, a major overhaul of the building of the Moyinkum central regional hospital and the heating system of the Shu city hospital was carried out. Within the framework of the project Auyl - El Besіgі! in the Shu district, it is planned to build a polyclinic for a total amount of 304 million tenge (for 250 visits).

This year, it is planned to complete the construction of an oncological dispensary for 200 beds, worth 13.9 billion tenge.

At the end of 2020, in the field of health care, work has been done on:

  • rehabilitation center "Athletic" for 120 places;
  • installation of a computed tomography scanner, the opening of a stroke center on the basis of the Shu city hospital;
  • rehabilitation center;
  • opening of the Center for Healthy Nutrition;
  • first endocrinological center;
  • 30% increase in the salaries of doctors and a 20% increase in middle-level workers.

In addition, 3,979 medical workers involved in the fight against CVI were paid a supplement in the amount of 4.3 billion tenge. There are 121 health schools. 99.8% of the population is covered by electronic health passports.

On Aug. 12, 2020, the regional akim approved the "Strategic plan for the preparedness of healthcare institutions in the context of the 2nd wave of a pandemic and the response of services and departments to the further spread of COVID-19 among the population of the Zhambyl region.’’

According to the approved plan, as of the current moment, 1200 infectious hospital beds function in the regional hospitals, including 145 intensive care beds, as well as quarantine hospitals with 155 beds.

In addition, according to the plan, in accordance with 3 scenarios that may arise in connection with the epidemiological situation, with a green level, the bed fund will be increased by 750 beds, of which 75 are intensive care beds, with a yellow level, the bed fund will be up to 1,360 beds, of of them 136 intensive care units, if there is a red level, the bed capacity in infectious diseases hospitals for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 will total 2,530, including 268 intensive care beds.

Additional 2,000 beds are being prepared as a reserve.

Currently, 421 patients are receiving treatment in the infectious diseases hospital (the percentage of bed occupancy is 35%), of which 42 are in the intensive care unit. There are 19 people in the quarantine hospital.

Two-month supply of medicines available for medical institutions and organizations in the region

Today, a single distributor within the hospital in the medical organizations of the region has supplied medicines and medical devices in the amount of 7 billion tenge, of which medicines and medical products for the treatment and prevention of coronavirus infection have been supplied for 1.2 billion tenge.

Within the framework of the outpatient clinic, medicines and medical devices were supplied in the amount of 587 million tenge, including in the nosology respiratory tract disease and the nosology coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the amount of 53 million tenge.

There is a two-month supply of medicines.

In addition, a pharmaceutical plant was built on the basis of the Institute for Biological Safety in the Korday region. The project is expected to produce 60 million doses of various vaccines per year, including the coronavirus vaccine. The commissioning of the object is scheduled for March this year. At the moment, work is underway to provide the enterprise with the necessary equipment. The work is based on compliance with all GMP standards. Also, a land plot was allocated next to the plant for the construction of a three-storey residential building for the employees of the institute. One of the 60-apartment buildings is undergoing finishing work.

In 2020, about 6.1 billion tenge allocated for preparation of objects of the fuel and energy complex, housing and communal services and social infrastructure of the region

In 2020, about 6.1 billion tenge were allocated for the preparation of facilities of the fuel and energy complex, housing and communal services and social infrastructure of the region.

For the heating season 2020-2021, 437 boiler houses, 340 km of heating networks, 494 km of water supply and sewerage networks, 1,553 multi-storey residential buildings, 786 educational facilities, 386 health care facilities and 494 social and cultural facilities have been prepared.

The budgetary organizations of the region for the heating season are fully provided with the required volume of coal. Also, 246.7 thousand tons of coal were supplied to the population.

152,619, 16 thousand tenge were fully mastered, allocated in 2020 for the overhaul of 1,798.94 km of power lines and current repairs of 7,583.22 km of power lines of ZhES LLP.

Within the framework of the Regional Development Program in Zhambyl region for 2020, 417 houses repaired for a total of 9.6 billion tenge

In 4 cities of the region, there are 1,720 apartment buildings.

Within the framework of the Regional Development Program, 417 houses were repaired for a total amount of 9.6 billion tenge, including:

- at the expense of the republican budget, 252 houses for 5.8 billion tenge;

- at the expense of returnable funds of 126 houses for 2.7 billion tenge;

- at the expense of the local budget, 39 houses for 1.1 billion tenge;

Today, there are 193 houses (11.2%) in need of renovation.

In the field of housing and communal services, work is underway to digitalize and optimize public services to ensure transparency in the provision of utilities, the validity of tariffs and the use of collected funds.

The Unified Intelligent Information System E-SHANYRAQ was launched in test mode, to which 89.3% (1,220 houses) of 1,365 apartment buildings were connected.

In 2020, 15.9 billion tenge allocated from state budget for implementation of gas supply 26 projects

In 2020, 15.9 billion tenge was allocated from the state budget for the implementation of 26 projects for gas supply to 210 thousand people in 116 settlements.

Of these 26 projects, 10 projects are supply pipelines, 1 is an automated gas distribution station, and 15 are intra-settlement gas pipelines.

Compared to 2019, the volume of work in the field of natural gas supply increased 2.5 times. As a result, in 2020, intra-settlement gas pipelines were completed in 45 settlements, 95 thousand people received access to gas, and work in the remaining 71 settlements (115 thousand people) is being transferred to 2021-2022. As of Jan 1, 2021, natural gas covered 237 settlements (63.9%) or 936 thousand people (82.4%).

In 2021, it is planned to start the construction of 2 automated gas distribution stations (AGDS Shu, AGDS Bilikul) to provide natural gas to 89 thousand people in 40 settlements of Shu, Moyinkum, Zhualyn, Zhambyl, Talas districts. The total cost of construction work is 5.5 billion tenge.

In addition, in the Ryskulov district, it is planned to implement 4 projects in the amount of 1.6 billion tenge for gas supply to 9 settlements (10 thousand people).

As a result, by the end of 2021 natural gas will be provided to 16 thousand people in 20 settlements, the share of gasification of the region will reach 257 settlements (69.3%) or 952 thousand people (83.8%).

In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the gas supply project (248 km of the gas pipeline) 22 settlements (Karasu, Otegen, Masanchi, Karakemer, Sortobe, Bular-Batyr, Aukhatty, Kyzylsay, Kunbatys-1, Kunbatys-2, Otar , Guards, Kenen, Bolshoi Sulutar, Sulutor, Koktobe, Alga, Kogadyr, Sogandy, Muzbel, Anyrakhai, Bel) 11 billion tenge were allocated. 1,050 billion tenge was allocated for the construction of the Otar AGDS. The project was put into operation. At the moment, gas is supplied to residents of settlements. As a result, 34 out of 41 distribution points, that is, 146,600 inhabitants, use natural gas, which is 95%.

In addition, design estimates for gas supply to 6 settlements with a population of 7.1 thousand people (Nogaybai, Sharbakty, Sarybastau, Karasai, Enbek, Keru) were prepared and sent for state examination. The projects are scheduled for implementation in 2021-2022.

Out of 367 rural settlements, 68.7% provided with centralized drinking water

In 4 cities of the region, as of Jan. 1, 2021, the provision of centralized water supply was 88.9%:

- Taraz city — 90.3% of 357,528 people are covered;

- Karatau city — 30,214 people 100% coverage;

- Zhanatas city — 22,383 people 100% coverage;

- Shu city — covered 60% of 36,665 people.

Of 367 rural settlements, 68.7% (252) or 560,288 residents (82.2%) of 681,966 are provided with centralized drinking water.

17.9 billion tenge were allocated for the construction of water supply facilities in 2020.

By the end of 2020, construction work was completed and 34 objects were commissioned, in particular in:

  • Bayzak district Zhanaturmys, Senkibay, Kostobe, Talas;
  • Zhambyl district — Akbulym, Zhasorken, Baiterek, Kyzylkainar, Shaikoryk, Tanty, Kapal, Konyrtobe, Shaikoryk station;
  • Zhualyn district — Ters, Zhurymbay, Shynbulak, Maybulak, Kosmurat, Akbastau, Alatau, Ters-Ashybulak, Yntymak;
  • Korday district — Aral, Otegen, Sortobe;
  • Merke district — Kazakhdikhan, Ryskulov, Kostogan, Akkoz-Kainar, Kyzylkishlak, Mykhanda;
  • Sarysu district — Igilik, Zhanatalap, Uyum;
  • Ryskulovsky district — Zharlysu, Abzhappar, Bayteli;
  • Talas district — the village of Maitobe.

As a result of the work carried out at the end of 2020, 38 settlements with a population of 60,674 people received access to a new centralized water supply system. The share of coverage was 252 rural settlements (68.7%) or by population size 560,288 people (82.2%).

In 2021, 7.8 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for the construction of 18 objects (16 transitional, 2 new). At the end of 2021, 10 rural settlements and the Koskuduk microdistrict in the city of Shu will be provided with a new centralized water supply.

At the end of the current year, the indicators of access to centralized water supply should be:

in cities — 407,340 citizens or 91%;

in rural areas — 601,288 inhabitants or 88.1%.
