The emergent entrepreneur received KZT 2.5 mln for implementation of her project. Presently, she has already purchased the planned number of breeding stock of horses. This spring, she plans to start production of kumis which is very popular with the population thanks to its healing property and taste.

In November of 2011, I defended my business plan – “Breeding of horses in private subsidiary farming and production of kumis through increasing the number of horses” and my plan was approved,” B. Barshagul Zhumabayeva lives in Alzhanka village of Aiyrtau district. After the dissolution of the LLP where she was employed as a cook in a field-brigade, Barshagul decided to begin her own private subsidiary farming.

As a result of implementation of the Forced Industrial-Innovative Development State Program, Kazakhstan is planned to achieve the following results by 2014: the GDP growth by 50% of 2008 level, increase of labor productivity by 50% in processing sector and by 100% in several sectors of the economy, reaching 40% of the share of non-oil and gas export, reduction of the energy intensity of the GDP by 10% of 2008 level and increase of the number of innovative enterprises by 10% of the number of currently existing ones.

“Implementation of the project was started in 2010 and will be finished in 2014. The project includes construction of the plant on production of metallized iron products made from iron ore raw materials of JSC “SSGPO”. The plant is expected to produce about 1.8 million tons of metalized iron products per year,” deputy head of the regional department of industry and entrepreneurship Raisa Khvorik said.

The construction of a plant on production of metalized iron products is underway in Kostanay region within the Forced Industrial-Innovative Development Program. About 550 new jobs are planned to be created at the new plant.
